St. Oliver Jubilee Year Walk in Dorsey, County Down - 10th May 2025

To commemorate the 400th anniversary of St. Oliver’s birth, a St. Oliver, Jubilee Year walk of two miles distance will take place in Dorsey on Saturday afternoon 10th May.

Commencing with a short talk about St. Oliver at 4.30pm at the McAllister residence, 28 Bonds Road - BT35 9PE site of the former Blyke’s Inn. The inn was a well-known hostelry used by St. Oliver as a location for meetings of his priests. The pilgrims will then walk to the St. Oliver Plunkett Church, Dorsey where Vespers will be prayed at 5.45pm followed shortly afterwards by the 6.30pm vigil Mass.
