Organised by Drogheda Civic Trust, the seminar on St. Oliver Plunkett was held in St. Peter’s Church of Ireland Hall, Drogheda on Saturday May 3rd 2025.
Mayor Paddy McQuillan, welcomed the large attendance to the event and spoke about the importance and pride the people of Drogheda feel in having the relics of St. Oliver in their midst for so many centuries.
Chair of the Trust, Denis Cummins chaired the seminar and Tomás Hodgins, PRO St. Oliver 400, gave an outline of the forthcoming events organised by the group in 2025.
A series of five very informative and thought provoking talks were presented by the following -

Dr. Eamon Darcy, Maynooth University
Dr. Annaghleigh Margey, Dundalk Institute of Technology
Seán Collins of the Drogheda Civic Trust
Following the talks a question and answer session was held at which there was good participation by those present on the day.
