The Interfaith gathering, moved indoors due to rain, turned out to be a day rich in warmth, history, and community. Fr Mark, Bryan Bellew, and Fr Martin led a beautiful service, with Emily Naper and her cheerful team hosting everyone with welcoming hospitality and casual refreshments. Talks by Tommy Burns on St Oliver and Dudley Plunkett on the English Martyrs offered depth and reflection, followed by a historic photo of cousins linked to St Oliver’s lineage. Fr Martin’s poignant sung poem by Joseph Mary Plunkett added a special touch, particularly with Plunkett’s relatives present. With Tomas Hodgins smoothly guiding the event as M.C. and Seamus sharing insights on a related exhibition, the day flowed with grace, connection, and gratitude—culminating in a presentation to Emily for making the occasion truly memorable.
